House Bill 4522- Family Treatment Court Act Creation

House bill 4522 would add Chapter 10D to the Revised Judicature Act (RJA) to authorize circuit courts to adopt or institute family treatment courts and to provide procedures and other requirements for admission to, and participation in, family treatment court programs.
House Bill 4523 - Mental Health Court Violent Offender

House bill 4523 would amend the MCL 600.1093(1) to allow a violent offender to participate in a mental health court with the consent of the judge and prosecutor (in consultation with any known victim).

House bills 4524 would amend MCL 600.1074(2) to allow participation in a drug treatment court to continue after a participant is convicted of a new felony offense under certain conditions.

House bill 4525 would amend MCL 600.1066(d) to allow a violent offender to participate in a drug treatment court with the consent of the judge and prosecutor (in consultation with any known victim).
