A MATCP event includes but is not limited to the Annual Conference, training events, summits, and legislative days. MATCP strives to create an environment that is safe, inclusive, and fosters learning. As a participant of the MATCP sponsored event, you agree to contribute to the success of such an environment. We expect participants to help us make each event a place that is welcoming and respectful to all, regardless of race, gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, national origin, ethnicity, political affiliation, or religion. We do not condone nor tolerate harassment of our participants in any form—in person or online.

Examples of harassment include offensive comments, verbal threats or demands, sexualized images in public spaces, intimidation, stalking, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of sessions or events, and unwelcome physical contact or sexual attention. Harassment also includes slights and negative messages, both intentional and unintentional, based solely on appearance. Participants are also not permitted to record any part of this training for personal or other use.

We expect all participants—attendees, speakers, sponsors, and volunteers—to follow the Event Code of Conduct during the event. This includes event-related social activities at off-site locations, and in related online communities and social media.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Event participants violating this Event Code of Conduct may be expelled from the event without a refund, and/or banned from future MATCP events, at the discretion of MATCP.

By registering for a MATCP event, I and/or anyone registered by me understand that I am are entering an event where photography, audio and video recording may occur. My registration for this event constitutes my consent to be photographed, filmed, and/or otherwise recorded and to the release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction of any and all recorded media of my appearance, voice, and name for any purpose whatsoever in perpetuity in connection with the Michigan Association of Treatment Court Professionals and its initiatives, including, by way of example only, use on websites, in social media, news and advertising.
