Conference 2018 Scholarships
MATCP is pleased to once again offer scholarships for multiple disciplines. Deadline for submission is Friday, December 1, 2017. Recipients will be notified of their awards by Monday, January 15, 2018. Upon notification, Scholarship Recipients will be given a Scholarship Acceptance form, which is required to be completed and returned to MATCP by Friday, January 26, 2018, in order to receive a registration code with instructions to register.
In addition to multiple Full and Partial Scholarships, MATCP is honored to provide 2 special Full Scholarships - the Hon. Jeffrey P. Sauter Memorial Scholarship (for prosecuting & defense attorneys only) & NEW this year, the Candice Dunn Memorial Scholarship.
About the Candice Dunn Memorial Scholarship:
This scholarship shall be awarded yearly to a Michigan Department of Corrections Probation Agent who is a member of a treatment court team and works directly with offenders battling addiction or mental health issues. Ms. Dunn was a member of the Michigan Association of Treatment Court Professionals and of the Sixth Circuit Court Urban Drug Court. In May of 2017 she was recognized as Probation Agent of the Year due to her dedication to offender success, enthusiasm for her work and belief in each participant’s recovery This scholarship will allow agents to fulfill the legacy of Ms. Dunn by providing them with the opportunity to enhance their strengths and abilities through training and education.
- You may apply for either a Full Scholarship (Registration + Lodging) or a Partial Scholarship (Registration only).
- All other costs are the responsibility of the Scholarship Recipient, including travel and any meals not included with registration.
- If you do apply for a Scholarship, please do not register until you are notified of the status of your award. Please complete the online form to be considered for a Scholarship.

Scholarship Terms & Conditions
If selected, scholarship recipients will be asked to verify acceptance of the scholarship by Friday, January 26, 2018. If they do not accept the scholarship by the deadline, the application will be forfeited and the scholarship may be awarded to another individual.
Scholarships are non-transferrable.
If a scholarship recipient is unable to utilize the scholarship, they must notify MATCP in writing no less than ten (10) business days before the conference. Failure to do so may make one ineligible for future scholarship consideration.
Scholarship recipients agree that they will sign in and sign out of each workshop and general session that they attend.
All decisions regarding Scholarship Recipients are final.
FOR FULL SCHOLARSHIPS ONLY: MATCP will book the scholarship recipient at a hotel of MATCP’s
choosing for the evenings of March 12 & 13, 2018.
Should a full scholarship recipient fail to check in to the hotel, or does not utilize the hotel room in any way, MATCP reserves the right to invoice the scholarship recipient for the full cost of the hotel stay, and the recipient agrees to reimburse MATCP for said costs.
